- Total Credits: 0.0
- Weighted Points: 0.00
- Scale Used: A=4.0, A−=3.7, …
How it works
Your GPA is the weighted average of grade points. We multiply each course's credits by the grade point (based on your selected scale), sum those points, and divide by total GPA credits.
Formula: GPA = Σ(credits × grade_points) / Σ(credits) (rounded to 2 decimals).
Presets: 4.0 with +/- (A=4.0, A−=3.7, …), simple 4.0, 4.3 (A+=4.3), and 5.0. You can fully edit letters/points in Advanced to match your college's rules.
Inputs explained
- Course Name: optional (useful for export/share)
- Credits: typically 1–4 (labs 1–2)
- Grade: pick from your current scale; use Custom Points if your transcript has unusual symbols
- Options: exclude failed/withdrawn/in‑progress credits from denominator (policy varies); include labs shortcut
- What‑If CGPA: enter your current CGPA and completed credits to see how this term affects your CGPA
- Advanced: choose a scale preset; edit letters/points; import/export CSV; share link; reset defaults
Example
Example (4.0 with +/- preset):
- Calculus I (4 cr, A=4.0) → 16.0
- Programming (3 cr, B+=3.3) → 9.9
- Physics Lab (1 cr, A−=3.7) → 3.7
- Economics (3 cr, B=3.0) → 9.0
- Humanities (2 cr, C=2.0) → 4.0
Σ credits = 13; Σ(c×p) = 42.6 → GPA = 42.6 / 13 = 3.28
What‑If CGPA:
Current CGPA 3.10 over 60 credits → new CGPA ≈ (3.10×60 + 42.6) / (60 + 13) = 3.15
Tips & notes
- Always confirm your college's official grade letters and point values (some programs differ).
- Repeated courses/withdrawals may be handled differently—enter the attempt that counts on your transcript.
- Use Export/Share to save your plan and test "what‑if" scenarios.
