GPA Calculator HCT
Calculate your HCT semester GPA (SGPA) on a 4.0 scale. Add your courses with credits and grades, choose a preset or customize the scale, and get your weighted average instantly. Explore more tools on free calculators on CalculatorBolt.
- Total Credits: 0
- Weighted Points: 0
- Scale Used: A=4.0, A−=3.7, B+=3.3, …
How it works
Your GPA is the weighted average of grade points. We multiply each course’s credits by its grade point (based on the scale you choose), sum them up, and divide by total credits.
Formula: GPA = Σ(credits × grade_points) / Σ(credits) (2‑decimal rounding).
Presets: 4.0 with +/- (A=4.0, A−=3.7, …) and simple 4.0. You can fully edit the scale in Advanced to match your college’s policy.
Inputs explained
- Course Name: optional (helps for export/share)
- Credits: typically 1–4 (labs 1–2)
- Grade: pick from the current scale (or input Custom Points if enabled)
- Options: exclude failed/withdrawn/in‑progress credits from denominator (policy varies); include labs shortcut
- Advanced: choose a scale preset; edit letters/points; import/export; share link; reset defaults
Example
Example (4.0 with +/- preset):
- Communications (3 cr, A=4.0) → 12.0
- Networking (3 cr, B+=3.3) → 9.9
- Math (4 cr, B=3.0) → 12.0
- Physics Lab (1 cr, A−=3.7) → 3.7
- Humanities (2 cr, C+=2.3) → 4.6
Σ credits = 13; Σ(c×p) = 42.2 → GPA = 42.2 / 13 = 3.25
Tips & notes
- Always confirm your department’s official grade letters and points (some programs differ).
- Repeated courses/withdrawals may be handled differently—enter the attempt that counts on your transcript.
- Use Export/Share to save your plan and test “what‑if” scenarios.
