How it works

Select your character class from the dropdown. The calculator displays three talent trees specific to that class. Click on a talent to allocate a point (up to the talent's maximum rank). Right-click to remove a point. You must respect the prerequisite system: typically 5 points in each tier to unlock the next tier, and some talents require maxing a previous talent. The calculator validates your point allocation and provides a shareable link to save your build.

Inputs explained

  • Class: Your character class (Warrior, Mage, Priest, etc.).
  • Build Name: A custom name for your build (e.g., "Fury DPS", "Frost PvP").
  • Talent Points: Shows how many of your 51 points you've allocated.
  • Talent Trees: Three interactive trees where you allocate points by clicking talents.

Example

Warrior Fury DPS Build: Allocate 17 points into Arms for Mortal Strike and Improved Slam, then 34 points into Fury for Bloodthirst, Flurry, and Enrage. This creates a hybrid DPS build optimized for endgame raiding. The calculator validates that you have enough points in Arms before allowing deep Fury talents.

Tips & notes

  • Meta builds often require specific key talents; use preset builds for a quick start (Arms DPS, Fury DPS, Protection Tank, etc.).
  • Remember the 5-point-per-tier rule for unlocking deeper talents in each tree.
  • Your talent build defines your role in dungeons and raids; plan accordingly (DPS, Tank, Healer).
  • In Classic WoW, respeccing costs gold and the fee increases each time (up to 50g), so plan carefully.
  • Hybrid builds (splitting points across multiple trees) can be effective but may not excel in any single role.
  • For PvP, different builds are often required compared to PvE raiding builds.
