How it works

Employee Contribution = Salary × Rate. Employer Contribution = min(Employee Contribution × Match, Salary × Limit). Future Value = Balance × (1+r)^t + Contributions × [((1+r)^t − 1)/r].

Inputs explained

Current Balance, Salary, Employee Contribution %, Employer Match %, Match Limit %, Annual Return, Years to Retirement.

Example

Balance=25,000, Salary=80,000, Employee=6%, Employer=100% up to 6%, Return=7%, Years=30 → Projected Balance≈$1.02M; Total Contributions≈$288k; Earnings≈$732k.
